The Retreat Itinerary (5 Days / 4 Nights)

Note: We optimize the schedule based on weather conditions. You will receive a detailed timing schedule upon arrival, but all listed activities are guaranteed.

Day 1: Culture & The Arctic Circle
Welcome to Lapland! You will make your own way to the meeting point in Rovaniemi (Airport or Train Station or Levi (Sirkka) where your guide awaits.

  • Culture: We begin with a visit to the Arktikum Museum & Science Centre, an architectural icon and the best place to learn about the history, nature, and Northern Lights of the region.

  • Magic: Next, we visit the Santa Claus Village. Cross the official Arctic Circle line, send a postcard from the Santa Claus Main Post Office, and soak in the festive atmosphere.

  • Transfer: We take a comfortable private transfer (approx. 2.5 hours) to the resort town of Levi.

  • Arrival: Check into your modern log cabin. Enjoy your first evening by the fire or in your private sauna.

Day 2: The Animals of the North
A day dedicated to the iconic creatures of Lapland.

  • Morning: Reindeer Farm Experience. Visit a traditional herder, learn about the Sami way of life, feed the reindeer, and enjoy a peaceful sleigh ride through the snowy forest.

  • Afternoon: Husky Safari. Meet the eager sled dogs! After a briefing, you’ll embark on a thrilling safari, driving your own team of huskies (or riding as a passenger).

  • Evening: Free time. Relax in the cabin or hunt for Northern Lights nearby.

FAQ

Why "Retreat" and not "Adventure"?
While the activities are adventurous, the pace is not. We call this a Retreat because this itinerary gives you more time to sleep, sauna, and enjoy the snow.

Why is the Arctic Ocean trip not included?
We listened to feedback from adult travelers. The drive to the Arctic Ocean is very long. By replacing it with the Glass Igloo & Sauna experience and Snowshoeing, we keep you closer to home base, making the trip much more comfortable and relaxing.

Is this trip right for me?
If you want to see Lapland's highlights but don't want to stay in a hostel or travel on a bus full of students, this is for you. It is perfect for couples, solo professionals, and friends aged 25-50+ who want comfort and convenience.

Do I need to drive the snowmobile/husky sled?
For snowmobiles, you need a valid driving license to drive (or you can ride as a passenger). For huskies, you can drive the sled or sit in the sled, it's up to you!

What should I bring?
We provide the heavy outer layers (overalls, boots). You just need to bring warm thermal layers (merino wool is best), comfortable indoor clothes for the cabin, and your personal toiletries.

Ze hebben echt de trip van mijn leven georganiseerd toen ik meeging naar Lapland. Het was beter dan ik had durven dromen, al helemaal met deze prijzen! De trip heeft echt mijn leven veranderd.

They really organised the trip of my life when I joined the trip to Lapland. This was better than I could have ever dreamed of, especially considering the price I paid for it! The trip really changed my life.

Reviews from other Lapland Travels Adventures

To tam moje marzenie się spełniło, kiedy udało nam się zobaczyć zorzę polarną. Taka podróż to zdecydowanie coś, co każdy powinien chociaż raz w życiu przeżyć.

My childhood dream finally came true when we saw the northern lights, which was definitely the highlight of the trip. For me, the trip was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I believe everyone should experience.
