For Lapland Arctic Adventure's trips and other products and services sold on this site under Lapland Travels (Lin-Car Oy), there are additional Special terms for package tours organized by Lin-Car Oy (operating also as Lapland Travels). Additional and special cancellation policies apply as well (see Cancellation Policy):
By placing the reservation, the client enters into a contract with Lin-Car Oy and accepts the following terms and conditions for package and group tours. Lapland Travels is a brand name of Lin-Car Oy. The legal entity and tour operator for the offerings on this site is Lin-Car Oy.
Internet and Printed Media
1.1 Lin-Car Oy reserves rights to changes in any information published online or in printed media.
1.2 All itineraries, programs, and prices are subject to change and should always be verified when booking the tour. The responsible tour operator is Lin-Car Oy, Jokiniementie 12,12700 Loppi, Finland, business ID: 1456536-0.
2. Terms of Payment and Pricing
2.1 All tours should be paid immediately by credit card or within 4 days by bank transfer.
2.1.1 In case of bank transfer payment, any bank transfer fee is due to the payer.
2.2 Lin-Car Oy reserves the right to cancel pending reservations with failed or delayed payments without further notification.
2.3 Student discounts offers are available only for travellers with a valid student card during the trip period.
2.4 All prices and offers are subject to change.
2.5 Tour price excludes costs for any services not booked via Lin-Car Oy such as: visa, optional programs, dining in restaurants, entrance fees for night clubs, additional travel services, and any transportation to the departure/arrival point.
2.6 Lin-Car Oy reserves the right to charge a minimum fee of 30€, or higher, for any mail service at the client's request.
Discounts for Groups, Students, Children & Special Campaigns
3.1 Student discounts always require a valid student card. For Lapland tours by train, a Finnish student card is mandatory if purchasing at a student price.
3.2 Other special discounts are valid from the moment they are announced. Discounts do not apply to reservations placed before the discount campaign.
3.2.1 Discounts are not transferable in case of order changes.
Terms of Visa Service (where applicable)
4.1 Lin-Car Oy is not liable for denied visa applications.
4.2 Lin-Car Oy is not responsible for any of the client's documents if lost, damaged, or delayed by officials, postal/courier services, or third parties.
4.3 The client is responsible to check if their visa information is correct. Lin-Car Oy is not responsible for misprinted information.

Company’s Rights to Changes & Cancellations
6.1 Lin-Car Oy may apply minor changes to the itinerary and tour arrangements, such as changes of accommodation within the same category and price, change the order of activities, or cancel some activities.
6.2 May cancel connecting transportation if there are not enough participants; payments for canceled transport refunded.
6.3 May cancel the entire tour, at the latest 21 days before departure, due to insufficient participants; payments refunded (optionally offer date change).
6.4 May cancel tours on short notice due to force majeure (e.g., extreme weather, strikes, etc.).
6.5 Reserves the right to change itineraries, excursions, and prices; may cancel add-on activities due to low demand or weather.
6.6 Has deposited required funds for financial responsibilities. If eligible, clients may get compensation for paid tours from the Finnish Consumer Agency or equivalent authority.
Clients' Responsibilities
Correct Contact Data
1.1 The client must provide Lin-Car Oy with valid contact data.
1.2 The client is responsible for the accuracy of all information supplied (including other participants' data).
1.3 The client must be at least 18 years old at trip start, or accompanied by an adult if under 18.
Departure Time
2.1 The client is responsible for timely arrival at all departures.
2.2 No refund for missed activities/programs due to lateness.
2.3 Transport delays (train, bus, flight, car, etc.) are not grounds for compensation.
Terms of Accommodation
3.1 Shared room/cabin assignments may be with any gender/group participant if no preference/roommate given.
Correct Travel Documents
4.1 The client is responsible for ensuring all required travel documents (passport, visas, etc.) are valid.
4.2 For trips outside Schengen: non-EU/Schengen passport holders require a valid visa or permit; clients are responsible for compliance.
4.3 Lin-Car Oy is not responsible for extra costs arising from missing/insufficient/damaged documents.
Behaviour During the Tour
5.1 Lin-Car Oy has the right to terminate participation for those endangering or harming staff/others, or in cases of inappropriate behaviour. No refunds/compensation under these circumstances. All such incidents may be reported to authorities.
Issues During the Tour
6.1 Any issues should be immediately raised with a Lin-Car Oy guide or representative for prompt resolution.
6.2 Failure to report during the tour forfeits compensation rights.
6.3 All complaints are processed within 6 weeks of submission.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Changes Policy
1. Orders Cancellation Fee
The following cancellation conditions apply and override the less strict cancellation policies from other tours from Lin-Car Oy. Specifically, these cancellation policies apply to our tours from Lin-Car Oy (operating as Lapland Travels) including but not limited to: Lapland Arctic Adventure trips and Baltics Adventure trips, which are sold on this site and under Lin-Car Oy (operating as Lapland Travels). Please note that special tours like student cruises or special event tours are subject to special cancellation conditions as stated on the booking page.
The fee is passenger-specific. On a multi-passenger order, each passenger is charged a cancellation fee according to the fee option they have selected.
For order cancellation, Lin-Car Oy charges a service fee as follows:
Cancellation fees (per passenger)
Cancelling 45 days or more before departure: 40€
Cancelling between 44 and 30 days before departure: 100€
Cancelling between 30 and 21 days before departure: 200€
Cancelling between 20 and 7 days before departure: 75% of the total order value
Cancelling between 6 and 3 days before departure: 100% of the total order value
Cancelling less than 3 days before departure: 100% of the total order value
Please note: Any bank transfer/postal costs will be added to the above-mentioned fees.
2. Orders Including Flight Tickets
If you have booked your flight tickets via Lin-Car Oy and the flight is cancelled or rescheduled causing delays of 12 hours or more, Lin-Car Oy will do the following:
2.1 Refund the cost of the flight ticket and of the trip if you would like to cancel your reservation.
2.2 Alternatively, offer a replacement trip with the next flight, depending on the rescheduling options available from the flight company.
2.3 Compensate the client for the missing parts of the package journey, with the following exceptions:
2.3.1 If the airline cancels the flight in the absence of genuine force majeure (e.g., strike, adverse weather), you are entitled to seek compensation directly from the flight company through EU aviation authorities.
2.3.2 If you have booked a connecting flight ticket independently, Lin-Car Oy is not responsible for any costs resulting from the cancellation of that flight.
3. Orders Cancellation Procedure
3.1 Cancellation Request
Cancellations are registered on working days only: Mon–Fri 10.00–16.00 (Local Time in Finland), excluding Finnish national holidays. Cancellation terms are applied from the date Lin-Car Oy reads the notification by e-mail to travel@lin-car.fi. Requests received outside of working hours will be registered the next working day, and fees corresponding to that registration date will apply.
3.2 Refund
Orders are refunded to the same payment method used for the order payment:
A- Orders paid by credit or debit card are refunded directly to the card.
B- Orders paid by bank transfer are refunded by bank transfer. You must provide Lin-Car Oy with the following bank details:
Account number (IBAN for European banks)
BIC/SWIFT
Account owner's name and postal address
Name of bank and official address of the branch
3.3 Lin-Car Oy reserves one (1) month to process tour and activity cancellations.
4. Order Changes and Other Cancellations
The following package change conditions apply to our regular tours. The fee is passenger-specific.
4.1 Tour Changes
For changes to a different travelling group on the same dates and/or for a change to other trip dates (subject to availability), Lin-Car Oy charges a service fee as follows:
Tour change fees (per passenger)
Changes 21 days or more before departure: 40€
Changes between 20 and 7 days before departure : 75% of the total order value
Changes between 6 and 3 days before departure: 100% of the total order value
Changes less than 3 days before departure: 100% of the total order value
4.2 Accommodation Changes
For accommodation changes, Lin-Car Oy charges a service fee of 20€ until 21 days before the trip departure. Later, any accommodation changes must be requested at the destination.
4.3 Name Changes
For name changes, Lin-Car Oy charges a service fee as follows:
Name change fees (per passenger)
Changes 45 days or more before departure: Free
Changes between 44 and 3 days before departure: 20€
Changes less than 3 days before departure: Not possible
4.4 Activities and Extra Products Cancellations
For cancellations of optional activities and other extra products, Lin-Car Oy charges a service fee as follows:
Activities cancellation fees (per passenger)
Cancellation 21 days or more before departure: 20€
Cancellation between 21 and 8 days before departure: Not Possible
Cancellation less than 8 days before departure: No Possible
4.5 Other Tour Package Changes
For other changes not stated above, Lin-Car Oy charges a service fee of 20€ until 14 days before trip departure. Later changes are not possible.
4.6 Tour Package Changes Procedure
Order changes are registered on working days only: Mon–Fri 10.00–16.00 (Local Time in Finland), excluding Finnish national holidays. Change terms are applied from the date Lin-Car Oy reads the notification by e-mail to travel@lin-car.fi. Requests received outside of working hours will be registered the next working day.
If a price difference is owed to Lin-Car Oy, the change will be confirmed only after the payment is completed. If a price difference is owed to the passenger, the refund will be processed by Lin-Car Oy as described in section 3.2.
